A Hook Horror is a bipedal underground dwelling monster that appears to be a cross between a vulture and a human male. The Hook Horror got it's name because rather than having hands, they have large razor sharp hooks and can do massive damage to anything they come in contact with.

A clan of Hook Horrors usually live in underground caverns and rarely are seen out and about in daylight hours. They are generally nocturnal and will feed on humans or animals or anything they can literally sink their hooks into.

Members of a clan of Hook Horrors rarely ever fight one another. They have very poor relationships with other races, goblins, elves, dwarves or ogres. Most Hook Horrors are omnivores, but they prefer meat. They can eat almost any cave dwelling fungus, plants, lichens or animals. The Hook Horror's exoskeleton dries out and becomes brittle so they are rarely hunted as food themselves.
