Hell Hounds are fire breathing-quite clever canines brought forth from another existence by an evil creature. A Hell hound resembles a large hound with reddish brown or fire-red fur. The tongue and teeth are jet black, as are any markings that may appear on the beast.

Hell hounds stand about 3 feet tall from the shoulder and they have a very distinctive odor of sulfur or smoke at all times. They baying of a hell hound have an eerie and penetrating sound to it, one that will cause a cold chill or shiver through anyone who may hear it.

Hell hounds can run faster than any known living animal and are clever, accurate hunters. If running from an entire pack, you cannot escape them, they are too quick and far too strong once they have captured you. Hell hounds continue to breathe a poisonous fume of fire even while attacking something, thus burning or incinerating whatever opponent they have come into battle against.

It is very difficult to sneak up on a Hell hound, they have exceptional hearing and they have a great sense of smell even though they themselves wreak of smoke and sulfur. They have an alignment of Lawful evil and are seldom ever defeated, unless the opponent can find deep water to dive into. The hell hound will not go into normal water, they live and hunt and breed in hot, fire ridden or lava filled places and cannot exist outside of those areas for any lengthy period of time.
