Better known as the "crocodiles of the sands", these creatures have an alignment of Chaotic neutral. But don't let that fool you. Hatori's are shaped like very long elongated lizards and have a short snout which they can use as a weapon. Their front and rear legs have fin like appendages which they use to easily move at rapid rates across the sand.
The only thing that will drive a Hatori into combat is hunger, unfortunately Hatoir have ravenous appetites and food is scarce in their part of the world. They often travel small distances in search of new food when nothing has wandered into their domains.
A Great Hatori is even bigger than a regular sized Hatori and they can swallow a grown man whole without ever taking a bite. The Hatori will eat anything and can digest anything over time except for gems and magical armors. An ancient legend states that there is an old Hatori burial tomb underground where the Hatori will go to die. If this is true, since they cannot digest armors of gems or gems themselves, that would an ancient burial ground filled with riches for the decades.
The female Hatori do not often battle, even for food. The males will go in search of food and bring it back for the new mother and her offspring. The males primarily will do all of the fighting, for food or for protection of their young. They reside and raise those families in scarce desert areas where few men will dare to travel.
