Halloween 2 picks up exactly were the original leaves off. After being shot six times by Dr Loomis, and falling out of the bedroom window, Michael manages to pick himself up and make his escape. Loomis goes running out of the house to find him, but shows no surprise as Michael is nowhere to be seen.

After surviving the attacks of Michael in the first film Laurie is taken to the hospital to have her injuries dealt with. Michael happens to bump into someone with a ghetto blaster that is playing the news at the time, and thus ears of Laurie's were about, so makes his way to hospital.

Michael victims are also discovered in the Doyle's house, and with sheriff Brackens daughter being one of them, he his overcome by shock and as to leave the investigation to tell his wife of the tragedy, which he blames on Loomis for letting Michael go.

After Michael arrives at the city hospital the body count starts to rise as he continues his relentless hunt for Laurie, who we find out is actually his sister. Once again Loomis turns up in time to come to Laurie's rescue and could we finally see the end of Michael Myers as he ends up as a human torch..................

Overall sequels are usually inferior to the original but sometimes there are exceptions and I believe this one to be an exception, although I know you die hard HALLOWEEN fans will disagree with me TOTALLY on this, but what we actually have here is a film that carries on so perfectly (you cant tell there is a 3 year gap), with a faster paced story line and a bigger and heavier body count. It's everything you could ask for from a sequel improved sound, improved killings and improved tension.

I won't spoil things but I'm sure you all know this wasn't the end for Michael, there have been 6 more inferior sequels to add to this sequel, with the exception of Halloween 3 Season of the Witch but this sequel actually has nothing to do with the rest of the series but a great film in its own right.
