Rating Score 9/10

The year is 2047 and a spaceship called the Event Horizon mysteriously returns to orbit the solar system after disappearing years ago. After the signal has been detected, an elite fearless salvage team are sent out with the ships designer to recover the state of art space ship.

When the crew arrive at the spaceship they are unsure what to expect, so they send a few of the crew to investigate, much to the annoyance of the ships designer who wants to get back to his ship. When the crew arrive on the ship they seem to sense that something isn't right about it and soon they discover that their feelings are correct as they find body's floating around in the atmospheres spaceship.

After securing the spaceship and getting its power supplies switched back on, the rest of the crew including the designer then enter the Event Horizon, were they discover the tapes which show what happened to its crew, who had seemed to crack up and go crazy and start attacking and killing each other. The tapes make the salvage team uneasy and wanting to leave the Event Horizon and get back to earth as soon as possible.

As the story unfolds we find out that the ship as been to some other dimension or even hell, and it as got a life force of its own and is not prepared to let the salvage crew get out alive. What happens then is a scramble for survival as the salvage crew attempt to stay alive and escape the Interstellar Terror............

This film is a sort of mix between a Sci-fi film and a Supernatural film, a sort of haunted house in space. The blend of these two genres works perfectly in Event Horizon to create plenty of suspense and terror. Two scenes that seem to stick out are the one were they discover the tapes that show what has happened to the crew, were its what your mind makes you think that you see is than what you actually do see, then the scene were one of the crew gets put in to a trance and locks himself in a air duct to get out of the ship, then when he comes out of the trance it is too late to get back in the ship as he has set of the opening device, but I wont spoil what happens you'll have to watch the film.

Event Horizon unfortunately doesn't have any sequels, I would like to see one in that they go to cross over to the other side were the Event Horizon went, and thus answer the questions you feel like you'd like answering from viewing Event Horizon.
