A space cargo ship on its way back to Earth with its cargo intercepts what they believe to be a S.O.S. signal, so the ships computer awakens its crew from their hyper sleep, to go investigate this signal.

The crew reluctantly head down to the surface of the planet were the signal is coming from, then three of them leave the ship to go investigate and find a big ship, also on the surface on the planet. After entering the ship one of the team is lowered down on to another level, were he discovers what appear to be eggs. Whilst their he gets close to the eggs, which start to come alive, and then one spits out a creature which attaches itself to his face.

After returning to the ship they try to take the creature of his face, but when they cut its knuckle it bleeds acid. All they can do now is wait. Eventually the creature falls off his face and dies and he seems to make a full recovery.

While around the dinner table discussing what had happened the guy who had the creature attached to his face suddenly starts having convulsions and appears to be choking. The others hold him down and then suddenly a creature bursts through his stomach, they realize the Face Hugger had impregnated him with another creature.

The creature escapes and the remaining crew have to go and track the creature down, but unfortunately for them the creature has grown rapidly and one by one they are picked off. Will any of them escape, will anyone be able to help them as In Space No One Can Hear You Scream.........

Alien is one of the all time classic Horror films in most peoples minds, and deserves to be in my opinion. The tension Ridley Scott generates throughout is fantastic. I would also say its one of those films that seems to get better with time.

There isn't much gore in Alien but I must say the stomach busting scene is a little disturbing. What there is plenty of is shocks that'll have you jump out of your pants the first time you watch Alien.
