A Revenant is a vengeful spirit that has returned to claim the life of its killer.

Revenant's eyes are dull, sunken, their skin cold and clammy. The aura of a Revenant is that of sadness, anger and vengeance. They have claw like hands that they use to attack, they always appear as spectral, in the very image just before or at their time of demise. The Revenants are best known for strangulating their victims and usually only will attack and kill the person or persons responsible for their death. No innocent victims are taken at the hands of a Revenant.

Those who have died an exceptionally violent death are usually the ones who rise from the grave as a Revenant. They are bent on destroying the one responsible for ending their life so violently, and the victim will normally die a slow and painful death at the claw hands of the Revenant.

A Revenant's body does decay, but at a much slower pace than that of someone who died of a natural death. Its sole purpose is to locate and track down the killer and the Revenant will not stop until its goal has been met. Once this goal has been achieved, the Revenant returns to its own grave and then finally can rest. In most cases however, once the Revenant has claimed the life of its killer, its body will disintegrate and their spirit is released, so that it may finally rest in peace.
