John Fallon Actor/ Journalist/ Critic for the Arrow in the Head website has been selected as Webmasters pick. His work is amazing, and we will get to know him more behind his creative work on such an entertaining Horror site.
SH: My first question is, when you first started with the web site did you had any idea it would make such success and become a favorite by your visitors?
JOHN FALLON: No I didn't, I started doing it as a hobby to keep my writing fresh (I'm also a screenwriter among other things) and I didn't see its eventual success coming. Once the site up for a month, horror directors and stars started e-mailing me to congratulate me on my work. That's when I knew I was on to something.
SH: How many years have you been working with web building, and designing? Also have you had any other web sites before this one?
JOHN FALLON: I've been working on the site for 3 years now; it was my first site.
SH: When you are working on the overall site where do you get your ideas to produce such amazing work?
JOHN FALLON: My creative and crazy imagination; where else?
SH: What programs do you use when you are working on the site for over all production of the site?
JOHN FALLON: Frontpage and Dreamweaver; I'm not an HTML expert.
SH: Have you worked on any other web site previously before, if so how many, and is there anything you have learn from them?
JOHN FALLON: No, "Arrow in the Head" was my first site; I learned everything that I know through it.
SH: When you are working on the site what are some of the hardest tasks to work with? The graphic designing, the content, etc.
JOHN FALLON: I takes me a lot of time to write my reviews; I'm a perfectionist and I have a hard time letting go; so I would say the content.
SH: Please share us some of your own tips on good web building, and designing tips?
JOHN FALLON: Just be creative and aim to be unique; that's the best advice I have to give in this respect.
SH: When you are brainstorming your work such as Interviews and Articles, what's your routine method of the preparation, and gathering your information, then putting it all together? Researching first etc.
JOHN FALLON: I light a cigarette and work real hard not leaving any stone unturned. Research and detail is very important to me.
SH: Okay, now I will ask some questions about you. So we could get to know a little more about the creator behind all o f his work. Describe to us truthfully on your personality?
JOHN FALLON: I'm a guy that works hard and plays hard, I love my many jobs and yes I love to party. I'm the best friend you could ever have in terms of my loyalty and am the worse enemy in terms of my mean streak.
SH: In your own opinion what would make a good horror movie?
JOHN FALLON: Good writing first and a strong director to execute it all properly second. The right casting also helps.
SH: If you were to direct a horror movie, which movie would it be and why this movie? In that movie would you change any directing parts?
JOHN FALLON: I would direct my own movie (which I'm in the process of doing ( www.redhours.com ). I wouldn't want to direct somebody else's film; it's their vision; not mine and I wouldn't disrespect it.
SH: Who is your favorite Horror movie writer, and why?
JOHN FALLON:Screenwriter Eric Red (The Hitcher, Near Dark) was always my inspiration in term of writing due to his dark affinities and his penchant towards brutality.
SH: What are your dislikes?
