This is a story about a 16 year old girl, Christina, that lives with her
younger brother, Bobby, and father, James, who happens to love his daughter
a little to much. Her mother is in a nearby hospital, cause she's a little
off her rocker. There's also a handiman, Howie, that comes along every once
and awhile to fix up the house. And a boyfriend, Eddy, that always seems to
find a way into the house to scare her. Christina is living the typical life until she starts hearing noises and has the feeling that she's being watched. A couple of people get killed around the house and so the cops start watching the house a little more closely. Then after Christina's seventeenth birthday the stuff really hits the fan.
We're finally introduced to the person that's been making noises, when she comes home from school one day and discovers that all the windows and and doors are locked and they can't get out. The maniac makes his presence know to all in the house. The rest of the movie Christina tries to deal with the madman and to not get herself killed in the process. Does she prevail or does the killer?
Well, this is a like it or hate it movie. I liked it. Yes I know, I'm probably one of the few that actually like this, but I'm not afraid to admit it. At first you think it is going to be another dumb WB style movie since it's got Brendan Fehr in it. But I thought this was a lot better than some of those movies. I liked the story, actually. I thought Gavin Wilding did a good job at directing this. As for the acting, I thought Allison Lange, who I believe this was her first starring role, did a good job! Along with John Savage as her father. I liked Howie's character and thought Brad Rowe did a good job on it. There weren't many deaths, barely any blood and not really any good scares but I liked it nonetheless.
